It all came down to this one match. The Blue needed 3 points to take joint first with Uckfield.
The Blue delivered with an emphatic win that stunned the Uckfield Grasshoppers Lions who celebrated over 3 weeks ago that they were the undisputed winners of Div C. They were wrong and they counted us out. We won 3 - 0. For the Lions they felt they lost the Title but for us we won it.
The Blue journey to get to that final game was a long one. We, the coaches, knew that we could not drop any points and we needed big wins. We were out to win.
First goal was a beauty. Caelan dug the ball out and flew down the left side. He cut inside and looked up at the last second to put in a beautiful cross to Fred. Easy as.
The second goal was worked from the back to Theo to Jacob who put in a lovely cross to Fred and Fred finished it up and over the keeper.
Our third was a demonstration of set piece mastery and came right off the training ground. Dexter took the corner and it arced perfectly to be headed in by Theo. Perfection.

In 21 matches this season the Blue scored 105 goals in all competitions, 7 clean sheets, most goals in our division, biggest scoreline win at 14 - 0, 4 out of the top 10 goal scorers play on the Blue. These are big numbers and evidence that the Blue is moving from strength to strength.

Next season we move to the SSYL West Division to try our hand.
